COMPETITIONS
I have been involved as a coach for both Thinkquest and the Volvo Adventure.
I traveled to Gothenburg, Sweden twice with winning teams from South Africa and
from Canada and I am happy to help any teacher or group that is interested in
getting involved.
ThinkQuest
inspires students to think, connect, create, and share. Students work in teams
to build innovative and educational websites to share with the world. Along the
way, they learn research, writing, teamwork, and technology skills and compete
for exciting prizes.
Volvo Adventure
-is an educational programme that rewards environmental activities among the
decision makers of the future. Environmental projects are undertaken by young
people to improve their local environment. The projects are published and the
best projects will be selected for an all expenses paid trip to Sweden.
Who is it for
- Volvo Adventure is open to young people around the world aged between 13 and
16 years. Teams must be between 2 to 5 young people with one adult as a
supervisor.
